Last week I was having a look at Little Foxes, Steve Madden’s Spring 2013 trend book, and I saw it clear right in front of my eyes: I have to go back to Canary Islands to meet my best friend Nira just to borrow each other’s clothes and shoes and party till we drop!
Seriously, I don’t think there’s a better way to call your best friend than little fox (but you don’t want to call her like that in Spain, because it turns out to be something really rude instead). So here I am right now looking for a flight to Gran Canaria like a desperate.
I don’t know what it was. Maybe the fact that the whole shooting is inspired in the 70′s (a decade that we love), or maybe the chunky-country look of the pictures, or even the Coachella feeling of these girls. Whatever it was, it made me remember this song by Lana del Rey and, just like in the Lost series (R.I.P), this campaign made me realize that “we have to go back to the island“.
In this super girly and sexy lookbook by Steve Madden two little foxes called Katya and CeCe have lots of fun together dressed in wooden and cork platforms, printed cowgirl boots and colourful sunnies. And even though they totally look like the perfect girls next door -as long as you are identifying yourself with them-, they could steal your boyfriend so BEWARE THE LITTLE FOXES!
Last minute Style Tip! If you are considering wearing socks with open shoes you should ALWAYS use a new pair every time. This might look a little bit silly since you may be wondering how many pairs of socks you will have to buy. But hey, seriously, you do not want everybody to see the bobbles that eventually appear over socks after one use, right? Remember that this look is supposed to be CUTE!
